Highways Agency Performance Trial
2004 saw the results of the TRL GPR Performance Trial 2003/2004 conveyed to the participants and, as expected, Impulse Geophysics passed all required elements of the trial.
Additionally Impulse Geophysics took part in the more technically demanding 'optional' test elements and were the only contractor able to measure the thickness of the upper bituminous/PQ concrete road layer in the absence of core calibration information to the standard required. Cores taken for calibration purposes are no longer required. Cores are only needed to identify materials.
